Promethean Particles Appoints New Chief Executive

February 2016, Nottingham. Promethean Particles is delighted to announce the appointment of Laurie Geldenhuys as CEO. The exciting news comes at a time of great optimism for the nanomaterial manufacturing company as it coincides with the building of its full scale manufacturing facility based in Nottingham which, once complete,  will be capable of producing 100s of tonnes of nanomaterials annually.

Laurie brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success across a wide range of corporate platforms, predominantly in the chemicals industry. In particular, Laurie has specialised in the inks market for many years with inks giant Sun Chemical and this experience is complimentary to Promethean’s current focus in the field of printed electronics.

Promethean Particles’ chairman Professor Barry Stickings CBE says: “It’s great to have Laurie on board. His knowledge of our target markets and experience in high‐value manufacturing is second-to-none. We look forward to him continuing our development and leading the company into a new phase in which we will be creating new opportunities around the world.”

New CEO Laurie Geldenhuys commented: “I can’t wait to get going with Promethean. We are a company which is beginning to realise its potential as a successful commercial nanomaterial producing company. The plant facility which should be complete early in 2016 shows how feasible this technology is for producing high quality nanomaterials for a huge range of applications. It is a hugely exciting time for Promethean!”
